Hi,
I have had an Olympus TG-6 for several years and have taken it snorkeling at least 50 times. I am VERY careful about washing it - hose it off, then put it in a bowl of fresh water as soon as I get out, then wash off under kitchen sink spray nozzle after 20 minutes in the bowl. Allow to dry. Use it without the decorative ring since I put an aftermarket lens cover (iris style) on when I am not using the camera. I am seeing some white corrosion of the black housing (aluminum?) around the black screws. Any thoughts how to clean this (vinegar/toothbrush?) and how to prevent future corrosion? I have heard nail polish would be good to seal around the screws, but the photo shop guy said no don't do that. Any informed thoughts?
