Ok- So one day it was raining buckets and when it finally cleared out, my buddy Julie and I decided to take a trip to El Moro.
Since sooo many people send me messages asking for directions, I decided to grab a camera and show you how easy it really is to get there!

I also have it in a .pdf but can't figure out how to upload it but will be happy to email it to you.

HOW TO GET TO EL MORO
(It doesn’t get any easier than this, folks!)

Head NORTH on Raphael E. Melgar (That's the main road that runs parallel along the ocean).

Make a RIGHT at the stoplight at 11 Sur (Also named Andrés Quintana Roo). Margaritaville and the Rejuvenation Clinic on the corner.

If you can't find a place to park make a right at the end of the block and there is plenty of room to park on the street.

Oh...one more thing. Be careful driving home.
One never knows when you might encounter a very large Brahma Bull out grazing!

Thanks Jen,

My last night in CZM (last summer) I had supper at El Moro. I had one heck of a time finding it not having these instructions. I enjoyed a few Margaritas with my meal and Ray brought over a portion of liqueur; probably the treat you mention above. I had no problem getting back to my hotel as I could easily walk through solid walls or simply fly over any obstacles that happened to be in my way.....highly recommended.

Definitely easier to find on foot... And walking back into town is a great excuse to indulge a bit more at dinner. Not that I usually need one.

Thanks for the directions Jen.
I'm traveling solo on my next trip and was wondering what the prices were at el moro and if it was worth the taxi up and back.

It's worth mentioning, I believe, that El Moro is closed on Thursdays.

Well, where would you be coming from? In town? From far south like the Wyndham? I would sill say yes, yes, yes.

A quick taxi tab that most people don't know. If you are in town and walking along Av. Raphael E. Melgar and anywhere near Chedraui, it is much cheaper to take a taxi from Chedraui. The rate will only be 25 pesos to el Moro and other locations in town. (Not far north) but certainly to Sam's, etc.
Obviously this rate depends on how many passengers. I live next to Chedraui and I never hail a taxi or have them drop me off on Melgar - always at Chedraui. It's 40-50 pesos otherwise. Of course, you still need to negotiate the rate before you get in but I've never had them say no from Chedraui. FWIW.
