You can also read Shadow divers and Gary gentiles' book also for more on the Rouse's diving.

I've just finished the book after reading for the second time. It was like revisiting old friends. Bernie did a great job personalizing his life and the lives of the Rouses. I have great respect for their commitment to the sport. I also enjoyed the pages devoted to dive theory and physiology.

Yes I have read Shadow Divers and that was a GREAT book. That is where I first learned of the Rouses also. I am not a fan of Gary Gentile's writing style unfortunately. He tries to use large words that really don't fit into sentences which makes his reads harder.
