On two of these...

With these batteries....

And this charger....

Am I wasting my time? The light says 20,000 lumen but I figure that's Chinese lumen and equals about 6-8K US lumen. The batteries appear to of pretty good quality with a good amp draw rating so the batteries shouldn't be the weak link. Failures seem to come from leaking buttons on these cheap lights. I was thinking a coating about an 1/8" thick of silicon over the switches would seal them better and still allow them to be pressed.

I'm not serious enough to about videography to spend a few grand on lights, but I would like decent results at the same time. I'm using a GoPro 7 and 11 currently either handheld or mounted to my FFM. The 7 usually stays on my FFM.

What do you think? Worth taking a shot on these lights?

It's $80 so not really a gamble. I am a fan of low NiteScuba Sea60. I've had 2 (1 was lost due to bad emergency tying in my part) and they've performed flawless for me. They are not a primary light, but a video light with a wide cast pattern. You'll need 4 81650 batteries and you're set.

Nice! I might get a couple for the car and when I go diving turn it on and seal it in a jar

Do you think those are pretty accurate on the lumen rating? These would be strictly used for video.

@minos2014
They're damn bright. Unless you're a serious photographer and video guy then they do more than fantastic. They are not big blue quality but they come close at 1/5th cost. All 3 pics on the same dive. 1st is without the video light on, other 2 are with it on.
