Being in SoCal, we don't see tigers here (just great whites). Impressive video. Sad to see the damaged dorsal fin. The only time I've knowingly encountered a tiger shark (or rather it encountered me) was while kayaking in an 18' double 3 miles offshore near Kino Bay in the Sea of Cortez. We had a tiger we estimated at 21-22 FT bump into our kayak (I watched it approach, lift its head part way out of the water and eye me before it hit). The Mexican shrimp fleet thought we were the bravest men in the Sea of Cortez out there in that little boat with "el grande tiburon."
