40+ hours after my last dive, I woke up with moderately strong tingling / maybe slight numbness in 2 of my fingers. I can definitely feel it and it’s been there all day (8+ hours) since I woke up. Kinda feels like I slept on my fingers wrong but never went away. That’s the only real symptom I have going on. I occasionally get a small pinch pain in my hands or feet but not so often today as well. I talked to my dm and he said the chances of this being dcs is highly unlikely because I had no symptoms yesterday and it’s been so long since my last dive. I did 4 dives 2 being ~18 meters and 2 being ~22 meters all around 45 minutes over 2 days with plenty of surface time in between. He told me to wait to see if symptoms get worse. Does that sound like a logical plan?

Your age? Makes me think that you might have touched something or got bit by something toxic. Is there any skin damage? I dive regularly in an aquarium environment and somehow got infected by what is called a Mycobacterium marinum Infection that is very toxic and very hard to diagnose. My symptom was a swelling finger and it was slightly numb. It took a hand specialist to determine what I had along with lab cultures. There were no breaks in the skin of my finger.

Ive had no skin damage that I can see. Haven’t noticed any rashes or anything. No itching. Mild sunburn on my upper back but I’m 100% positive that’s just sunburn form where I was sitting on the boat

Sounds like a pinched nerve. No stiffness in neck or upper back?
No stiffness. Only thing I could think of with the pinched nerve is I did a bunch of computer work yesterday as a rest day and maybe i had my arm in an awkward position.

does DAN assist anyone without membership ?

Yes! They will advise you of what to do and won't charge you. You should call them on their non-emergency number for advice.
