Going to Tobacco Caye Belize for a "3 Atoll, 4 day package".
Has anyone been there?? It's thru Reefs End Lodge. We were torn between Ambergris and another, remoter caye. The map suggests longer rides to the atolls from ambergris, plus more toursists, and poorer beaches. Reactions???

It's very small--you can walk around it in less than a 1/2 hour, but don't try it in bare feet as many sections of the beach have ironshore in them.

Only 2-3 places to stay, and all looked pretty basic. I thought that the Tobacco Caye Lodge looked the best. Can also check out Ocean's Edge, but in any event do try their bar & food.

Tobacco Caye Diving is run by a seemingly pleasant chap named Andy Muha, and hits lots of the closer sites. I thought that the diving was just so-so, especially compared to the outer atolls. You'll definitely want to do Glover's Atoll, which you can do by hooking up with Second Nature Diving. They work out of the Tobacco Caye Lodge and do an overnight camp-out trip to Glover's.

Stay golden.
