They need to take a buoyancy class.

After I found another turtle in the same position I realized that they were probably sleeping there, and the coral kept them fron drifting

Great thread, here are my top 3 for 2013. Maybe not the best shots I got but great memories.

First shot is a Painted Greenling from Anacapa Is, Channel Islands, SoCal. This fish was hopping around, a little to the left, a little to the right, as if posing for a photo shoot.

Here is the Jean Elaine, a converted work boat which is one of the best dive boats serving the Scapa Flow, Orkney Scotland.

A squad of Silver Tip Sharks off Roca Partida, Socorro Islands, Mexico. Their fin tips seem to luminesce underwater, real beauties.

Great diving in 2013, it will be hard to top it in 2014.

Please keep this thread alive with more of your pics and please more details when you can about your gear and any post processing you may have done so I can do more gear research! I'm in awe of how much you all get around!

What an awesome thread. It's been great to see the variety.

I was very lucky in 2013 to do my first dives outside the Caribbean. Also, the used housing market came down enough that I was able to house my Canon 550d. These are my favorites from my first three outings with a DSLR and a macro lens.

The three from my only dive trip of the year. Bangka Island.
Gear: Sony RX100 in Nauticam housing with single Inon D200 strobe and Inon WA lens.

I am one of those people that have the pleasure of diving with the OP.

Here is a pic of him taken in a Titan 1 missile silo. I was using my old D70 using 10.5mm Fisheye, with DS-50 strobes.

Here is a nudi I shot on my first dive using my new set up. D90 using 60mm macro and YS-250 strobes.

So I really struggled to pick a 3rd pic. I have some great macros and some great WA. In the end I went WA.
