I spent my first 20 dives in an Aqualung Balance BCD. While it was nice, it wasn't until I switched to a freedom plate and wing, did I realise how much extra dry weight I was lugging around. Not to mention the fact that I was wearing 8 more pounds in my weight pockets. You could look at one of these and you would cut down on how much weight you put in your luggage when you do travel with it. Plus it's a lot less bulky to pack. my two pesos.

So for those of you who dive travel BCDs like the Zuma, Oceanic BioLite, Cressi Air Travel, Zeagle Covert/Scout, DiveRite TravelPac, etc. - do you do any cold water diving those BCDs? Or do you have an additional BCD with more weight and lift capacity for cold water?

Thanks, this has been very helpful.

I'm a wussy diver that only wants to dive in a rash guard (warm water only). I bought the Zuma and am very happy with it. It fits in my carryon with my reg, rash guards, dive shorts, bathroom kit, liquids and a few other items. This does not include my personal items that includes my dive computer, laptop, drone, DSLR and other accoutrements.
