Sadly have been taking students out and not taking pictures the last couple of weeks... oh, and I took time out to do a graduation picture for the latest Special Ops class...
But am now back diving with a camera.
Conditions have been, well spotty....some areas have ok vis, others don't.
This last sat was typical... White Hill was great, the barge inshore sucked..
And as no dive report would be complete if I did not start out with a NUDI image...
I took pictures of a lot of them, but am sure they are really boring by now.
Whitehill is covered in frog fish right now...I took pictures of 9 different ones, but got tired of taking them..
Sadly I missed getting a picture of a bright yellow one... darn.
There was all the typical stuff:
That last one is typical only until the opening day of lobster season
I had all sorts of equipment issues (my fiber optic cables got broken).. had no strobes and finally got one to work, but only in manual...so a few of my images are not very well lit.
Here are a couple arrowhead crabs, male and female..
And lastly, I happened across a spotted Scorpion fish off Panama City two weeks ago, and have always thought that was the species of scorpion fish we have here... boy are they different:
I've been trying to get the perfect cardinal fish pic for a large print...well, I failed again, but am getting close.. one of these days:
