Bill mentioned the same thing in his Anilao trip report, he was told that it was an ongoing University of the Philippines study. Iris and Van never heard of such study.

That was my mistake.

I got it confused. It was a group of scientists from the US. (will teach me to take more notes instead of trusting my memory! :()

Boy Venus and Club Ocellaris along with Peri Paleracio were specifically thanked on the Acknowledgments page of "Indo-Pacific Nudibranchs and Sea Slugs-A Field Guide to the Worlds most diverse fauna" by Terrence M. Gosliner, David W. Behrens, and Angel Valdes. I quoted an excerpt from this book in another thread. They're all associated with the California Academy of Sciences.

David W. Behrens thanked them also in his book "Nudibranch Behavior".

Hope that clears everything up. Sorry about the confusion :(
