We have been diving Cozumel since 1980 and have used various operators. We discovered Tres Peilicanos last year and love them. Their shop is next door to Villas Las Anclas. They offer packages with Suites Bahia, Las Anclas and Casa Mexicana . We took advantage of their Fall Special that combined Suites Bahia for $48 a night(room with balcony) with breakfast at Casa Mexicana and 2 tank dive for $58. What a bargain! We walked a short block each morning to be taxied to the Caleta (they pick up the tab)
Their boat the Skinny Shark is one of the best on the island with Francisco as the captain and Servando the dive master. They are both extremely professional and personable and allow you to dive your tank. Most of our dives were over 70 minutes. They also rinse and store your gear at the shop and it is ready on the boat.
Communication with the shop is perfection! Jeanne answers your email questions within minutes and is quick to accommodate changes. She drove us around town and out to the Turtle Rescue one day. Steve, the owner , was there during our stay and was a delight. We have twice received thank you notes from him the day after our visit, thanking us for using their shop and asking what they could do to make our trip better.
Staying in town part of our trip allows us to walk to all the great restaurants. Lunch at Otates, Casa Cuzimil former French Quarter and Sabores) great comida del dia for 50 pesos, Bucannos beach club on Sunday, Dinners at Le Chef 3 times, Especias, Guidos, La Parilla Mission 2 times, Kondesa, Al Pie del Carbon, La Choza, No Name Bar (to watch football)
We will continue to dive with Tres Pelicanos and our other favorite operation Living Underwater (report to follow)
