I am the SCUBA Coordinator for the Marine Science Club on campus of the college I go to and I’ve been debating scheduling a trip to Troy Springs for the members to go on. I know that it was browned out for a while and that it just recently was lifted and I was wondering if anyone had been there since then and could tell me what the conditions were like? I’m mainly concerned with the visibility. If the vis is still bad then I will probably wind up waiting till it gets better. I’d appreciate any advise you can give me.

I was there about a week and a half ago, right after it reopened. It was diveable but spooky. Very little vis for the top half, clearer but dark as night underneath and all super tannic. Water was about 10’ deep in the spring run.

That's great, thank you for your help! I'll probably schedule the dive for some time mid to late April so that should give it a little more time to clear up. Nice photo btw.
