We've been researching Similan liveaboards quite a bit lately but still haven't decided. We've mostly focused on trips that extend over 6/7 nights and dive ~20 tanks.
We usually aim for the best value options while having reasonable requirements (small dive groups, private cabin with ensuite bathrooms, hot showers for the wife lol). We are not that constrained about budget though, so we are fine paying a bit more if it means better schedule, safe operation, comfortable boat, etc. Here are the boats currently at the top of our list:

We are not that constrained about budget though, so we are fine paying a bit more if it means better schedule, safe operation, comfortable boat, etc. Here are the boats currently at the top of our list:
- MV Bavaria (Enticing price point, amazing busy schedule, very new boat. We haven't found many reviews online, so it's a big question mark in our heads.)
- MV Andaman from Sea Dragon (Seems like a solid budget option, great reviews, reputable dive operation, adequate accomodations. We are afraid it might be a bit too "backpacker-oriented" and might attract a big bunch of casual divers. We are no expert divers yet, but we certainly take it seriously.)
- Diva Andaman (Expensive boat, top of the line, only 14 guests, schedule might not be the best. Seems like the "safest" option of all, but we feel it might not be the best bang for the buck.)
