This is a bit selfish and does not help the diving community better understand the tragedy and what went wrong and how to perhaps improve safety. Anyways...China is China. Very different mentality and way of looking at things in general.

Who's being selfish? No one owes us any details or information, least of all the family who just lost someone to an accident like this.
As far as which country this happened in, do you think the lack of information is because of that? Getting factual data and all the details of an accident is more the exception than the norm anywhere in the world.

Sorry dude, this is just reality.
What information is made public is up to the relatives of the deceased.
Take any of the accidents in this forum and except for high profile cases which made the courtroom and are therefore public record, there is very little information.

Relatives have plenty of right to grieve without people dissecting their loved one last actions. Even if those were big mistakes or, maybe, because their last actions were big mistakes.

In the aviation world we try to isolate relatives from their loved one final mistakes that lead to their demise, and sometimes they sue and find out that all the fault lies with the deceased. Can you blame people that try to preserve the memory of somebody idaelised as the perfect husband, son, brother and not pubblish their mistake for all the harmchair divers to dissect and comment?

I cannot. I learn what I can from what it is known and respect people wishes for privacy.

What @elgoog posted only reflects reality. It is a reply that does not show attitude. On the other end yours probably does.
