They have a really good stiff sole. It's too bad about the upper, which doesn't provide a really stable fit. If you look at it, it doesn't have straps run the side of the boot to provide the best lateral support. By that I mean look at the Scubapro Fjord boots, which has these diagonal straps. They hold you foot in place so it doesn't roll within the shoe.

I found that it ran slightly bigger than my old Pinnacle drysuit boots. If you buy the correct size, they should work nicely for you. I would certainly use them especially for shore diving as the sole is second to none.

Thanks Claudehl, Are you saying that if I wear a size 9 shoe that would be the correct size for the drysuit bootie with thick socks underneath. I would not need a size or two larger? Thanks!

I wear a size 8.5-9.0 tennis shoe and I found that the Typhoon boot was a bit too large for me. At the time I was using a Pinnacle Evolution II drysuit with compressed neoprene socks and my Fourth Element Arctic socks. I think you if consistently wear a 9.0 shoe (I think I'm more an 8.5 since new balance is the only ones that I wear in 9.0) then they should fit you well. I've only seen these on Ebay, although the Dolphin Scuba in the Sacramento, California sells them as well.
