Brent at Blue Water Divers would be the best choice. Not only is he the best but he is very conveniently located in Marina DelMar. Accommodations, diving, dive shops, restaurants and bars all in the same spot. You won't even need your car once you arrive.

Brent sold his boat and it now has a new owner. I have yet to dive with them so I cannot give any advice on the way they run it. I have heard they are trying to keep things just the way Brent ran them.

I just dived with Blue Water last week - just two of us on the boat but they won't take more than 10. Christi and Eric are doing a great job there. No shop - just the boat.
I stayed at Casa Thorn on Plantation Key, and this was very nice as well. We stayed in the Morroccan Room which has a hot tub in the bathroom 7' long, along with some other different amenities. AND, they don't take kids there.

Rainbow Reef is nice as well as Conch Republic. Does anyone have a comment on Key Divers in Islamorada?
