I just signed up for DAN and didn't need any kind of code. What is that for?

Im taking a course starting friday at noon and found out lastnight that I need DAN insurance. As I was sighing up this morning and one of the fields on the on-line sheet asked for a promo code. I was hopeing for a small discount or something, I figured sometimes when a promo code is avalible it activates a 2-5% or $5.00 discount.
