Is there any way to hide oneself from showing up in the list of users viewing a thread that shows up at the bottom of the page?

Supporting members have the option of making themselves "invisible" and will not show up on the "who is viewing" list.

Or you could just log off if you want to view a thread anonymously. What happened, did you get caught viewing the "how many CD stalkers?" thread? Yeah, embarrassing.
