Is it possible to use the LCD30 on any backplate?

Also, what about the built-in single tank adapter in this model of wing... Will it prevent the fitting of a regular weighted single tank adapter?

Blanket statements are generally NOT a good idea.

Is it "possible"? Maybe. Will it work as we intend? Pretty hard to say without seeing the plate.

Will YOU be satisfied with how a DSS wing "works" with a non DSS plate? That's a question only YOU can answer.

Usually not, and the wobble stopper can be removed if desired with a little thread trimming.

I should point out that the vast majority of STA users leave their wing more or less permanently attached to their backplate, and this will lead to increased risk of wing damage. Using a STA defeats one of the primary design criteria of the DSS system.

DSS plates and wings, when used together, provide benefits that cannot be achieved when using a "mix and match" approach.
