Intro:
There is enough concern about the conditions, and enough people near VB willing to report them.

This thread is for requests and reports.

Is anyone planning on diving Venice on Sunday February 11th. We are closing on our house on the 16th so this will be my last dive before heading to the great white north permanently.

Thanks Walter, I saw that thread. I'm just trying to do this dive on the cheap. And I've got some things to do in the afternoon so I won't be able to spend all day. Otherwise, I'd be all for it. I've never been to the Sheridan, but have heard it is a great dive.

Looks like crap for diving tomorrow, darn! I wanted to get wet at Venice tomorrow. I suppose I could still get wet if I drove down and stood outside the car :grin

Today at Venice with Florida West

Vis 15'+
temp 62

Got 10 megs mostly beat up, but 2 nice makos and the assorted small stuff.

Got to try out the new drysuit and can up from 2 2 hour dives dry.

i signed up with Florida west on April 5th i believe (thursday), so im very excited to finally get to dive Venice. The day before the dive im also doing the Peace river kayaking trip to look for teeth. Has anyone tried that trip, or diving with Florida West? I'd just like to hear about what you found.

I have been out with Florida West. I can't speak highly enough about that operation. They were very nice and let us stay in as long as we wanted. I'm very glad I used them for my first shark tooth dive. The captain knows all about the teeth and bones so it was very informative as well. After the charter I did with them I was better prepared to hunt from shore on my own. You will enjoy it:wink:
