So, for all of you staunch anti-shark feeding divers; get your hate mail ready. ...not in attempt to persuade others to change their position on the subject...

Interesting choice of words for someone not trying to persuade others. BTW and never said that I am anti but just I chose not to support it. I am not protesting against shark feeding, sending hate mail or or ramming the boats and tearing up cages. Just my thoughts.

DrBill, I just said, "Rather..." I did not say anything bad. For one I do not support shark feeding at all! I enjoy all animals both above and below the surface in their natural state without people interfering. I also believe in promoting saving the wild life. I feel that too many are trying to promote how sharks are not the aggressive beast that people preceive then to be...while being in a shark cage or wearing chainmail suits. Just my take on the situation.

My comments weren't directed at you specifically... I just found it strange that the first three follow-up posts were all negative.

I greatly prefer encountering sharks in the wild without inducing them to come close by feeding. Tahiti was by far my best shark dive experience and there was absolutely no feeding involved. Were I in Cristina's place, I too would wear shark mail if only to prevent constant abrasions and the possible accidental bite.

Sylvia Earle herself was the first person I ever saw diving in shark mail... and that was decades ago.
