Read quite a bit about different options for using my new GoPro Hero3+ while diving. Ultimately gave the Z Gear BCD mount a try, and was pleased with the result. The camera was very secure, was out of the way (not too many bubbles got into the shots), and took great hi-res footage. Combined with a 64gb memory card, was able to get the entire dive captured by just turning it on when I first entered the water, then turning t on when I got back on the boat. Of course there'll be more editing required later, but it was a simple set it and forget it operation.

The video is not focused. Is this a "HD streaming as SD" issue or is there something going on?

I think it looks bad because of the extremely low resolution of the YouTube post, 144p. I didn't know it could go so low.

You're correct, something in the process of getting it uploaded dropped my resolution way down. Here's another attempt from the same dive.
