While watching some videos on Youtube of diving around Cozumel, I noticed quite a few areas that look rather barren. Although it certainly looks like there's some really spectacular stuff, I couldn't help but notice all the stuff that looks pretty ho-hum. Do the guides take divers to areas like this on purpose until they get their buoyancy together, or is there another reason (or no reason at all)? Thanks.
 
It's drift diving....you go through numerous neighborhoods on every dive! If you've never been, your missing out.
