I went the opposite way guys - had a VTPro then went to a Pro Plus 2 [which I love].
The downsides of hoseless are battery maintenance and signal interruption .
Make sure you keep spare batteries for the transmitter because you will need them. Anyone who says batteries last a year doesnt do many dives per year. I do about 60-100 in any given year.
Signal interruption will occur. You will find yourself holding the wrist mount up to or behind your head , attempting to get the wristmount to reacquire the transmission signal. Signal interruption occurs more often in cold water.
I originally went to the VTPro to reduce hoses. Even got an integrated inflator/octo to reduce to 2 hoses. Today I am back to 4 hoses , 5 when diving dry.
Hoseless aint worth it dudes.
My 2 cents ...
