Just want some expert advice on how much weight or none at all with my setup.

Diving South Florida water's only.

3mm wetsuit w/3mm tanktop with hood
Large Kydex plate Hog Harness LCD 20lb wing
DIR type light (clipped to d-ring, flashlight not large DIR light) around #1lb
trauma shears
diverite pocket w/velcro (no weight really at all)
riffe 110 speargun
2 regulators

My Tanks: Worthington steel HP 120
-11 full -2 empty

I was using #4lbs before, think i could go to 2lbs or even no weight with this setup?

Thanks all.

I dive a similar set-up, torus 27 W/SS BP, AL 80 and no gun are the only differences. I didn't use any additional weight in salt water.

Black,

Only you can determine your ideal weighting. I can make and educated guess, but you have the parts and pieces to do a real live weight check.

If you, in your swim trunks are close to neutral, then here's my estimate:

Kydex plate and harness -2 lbs
Empty tank -2
One first stage reg + 2 nds -2

Total ballast -6 lbs

3mm 2 piece wetsuit +4-5 lbs

Result is you are very slightly overweighted

The light and spear gun are easily dropped or ditched, and don't count as part of your ballast.

Your rig is about -6 with an empty tank, and will be about -17 with a full tank.

I'd be careful about adding any ballast to the rig.
