Ok guys. I have an addiction with Craigslist and Scuba tanks.
I now have 8 tanks (4 AL80, 4 LP72)
I picked up 2 LP72 the other night and one is a Walter Kiddie (sp?) from 1974.
What is weird about it is the bottom of the tank has "feet" so no boot is needed?

Anything I should know about this before I send her off for Hydro and visual and fill?

What are the markings on the tank? It may be a fire extinguisher tank.

It has a K-Valve in it now.
Markings are:
ICC 3AA2250
35330DG
^WK
then the two hydros (first one is 11?68+)

That's a steel bottle with a rated pressure of 2250. Somewhere in the back of my mind I remember someone once telling me about a WK tank that had "feet," but I do no remember the details.

It does have a nemrod backpad too. Cool.

There shouldnt be anything special needed to send it off for hydro and visual.

I actually just came into possession of an WK LP72 tank with the same feet. I dont suppose anyone has an REE number for these tanks?

I would like to try to have it sent out for hydro with + rating if it passes.

Valve on it is very odd. Looks like i'll just have to swap it out with a newer one or an older J valve.

The valve is 3/4" so any modern valve would work. Though I would rebuild the current one to keep the vintage look.

I would but this valve is weird. None of my yoke regs will fit on the tank due to the placement so I think i am just going to swap it out with a US Divers J-valve.
