When I was diving off West Caicos in January I was surprised to see the fairly serious construction going on there--an artificial harbor included. Does anyone know anything about this?

Hello: It is the new area for a Ritz Carlton. The prices are high. It should be "interesting" diving off the west side area. John

Yup, a huge Ritz Carlton. Stay tuned for a Cruise ship pier to really ruin everything....

What I heard is that it is primarily a marina and resort for sailing people. They have been building for years now. I can't really say that they have ruined West Caicos cause it was nothing but scrub and ironshore before they started building.
Don't look for a cruise ship pier there - but there will be a really nice helipad complex at the Ritz.
