Well, I'm not a westcoast diving regular but I have been diving there. It was definitely worth the trip and I look forward to doing more diving there in the future. How far in the future? Well, that would be the $64,000 question.

I'm a fellow West Coast Diver... over here on Vancouver Island!!
I do most of my diving the Southern part of VI.. since that's where I live!!
Any places you'd recommend in the lower mainland????

There are a few nice wall dives in Howe sound, only accessable by boat. There are also some epic dives (HMCS Chaudiere) of the coast of Sechelt.
I've only been diving @ Ogden Point on the island, we drove to Mckenzie Bight but the vis was not really that good so I opted out of the dive.
I do a lot of diving from shore, Whytecliff Park, Point Atkinson, Ansel Point, Porteau Wall (north and south) and sometimes in Indian Arm when I go crab hunting.
I'd love to come to the island sooner than later and check some other places. I'm actually thinking of visiting a friend next weekend, I will be of course bringing my gear but at this point I do not have someone to dive with.
IF you ever have plans to make it to the mainland I'd be happy to show you a few sites but I'm afraid they will not compare to the south island
