Yes, agree with that, Gulf of Thailand tends to be colder than Andaman Sea. And in the Andaman Sea the Similans tend to be colder than the rest with some thermoclines. 23 as mentioned earlier is extreme, but 25 is no exception.I dive a full 3.5mm suit in Thailand. Last time I was there (January this year) the temperature was 28 degrees C at the Similan islands, even at depth, and my suit was comfortable. On the same trip I also went to Koh Tao where the temperature was 26 degrees and I was shivering from cold and very uncomfortable at the safety stops after advanced wreck penetration dives to 30 m. I definitely needed more thermal protection for those dives.
