But if the full suit is a bit too big then you might be better off wearing it under the full suit. Either way works.

It could be worn under as long as it doesen't get too tight, I believe it is cut to fit over the suit of the same size. With 7mm (1/4 inch) neoprene 1 garment equals about 1-1/2 inches of circumference.

Since you'd be getting the whole hooded vest on and zipped followed by the fullsuit you'd get awfull hot gearing up, Prepare to flood the suit with cool water. With the vest on top you can have it unzipped to your first BC interference point while you get to the water. As soon as you step out or even during the dive you can open it to the same extent. With the vest inside you'd stop at the collar. It's nice to run the zipper down and flip the hood back with your neck open when hiking up the beach.
