What do you call this room?

Calling Swankenstein, Wedivebc or any other navy types; It is seen here on the starboard side of this minesweepers maindeck. It is a small metal room (maybe 5x8') and has hatches on each end. It's sitting in the port debris field of the Nakaya but I don't know what to call it?

No idea on the old minesweepers, but on the frigates we call that the port breezeway.
