Great for focus, also have red light.. solid light, cheap! Also good for video! :)
 
I LOVE my Sola 1200 photo light. It has both white and RED in three brightness settings. The red is great at night getting photos of light sensitive critters like mandarin fish. The camera focuses fine with the red light. It is pricey, but so worth it.
