As much as I like diving with DiveTech and Cobalt Coast, the cost for a one week trip would cover about three weeks of cave diving in Mexico. It's just crazy expensive to go there.

We left from GCM to JFK on JetBlue on Saturday May 17th at 2:10 PM. We were told by JetBlue to arrive 3 hours early. We arrived 2 and a half hours early and were through bag drop and security in under 45 minutes. We pre-printed our boarding passes but I don't think it made a difference. After bag screening we were asked which airline we were flying. We told them JetBlue, showed our boarding passes and were waived past customs. I believe the gate people collected the little departure card when we boarded the plane. The waiting area was very crowded but we still found seats. By the time our flight started to board the place was half empty.

Arrival was the exact opposite. We arrived on Saturday May 10th around 12:30 Cayman time and the line to enter the building was out the door and moving very slowly. It took over an hour and a half before we made to the taxi dispatch booth.

BTW: Hello everyone! I have been lurking around here forever and finally got around to creating an account.

Edit: Just noticed I copied the status of the post above me. Either it is a case of great minds thinking alike or it subliminally burned into my head.

We left on June 7th @ 12:45. Got to the airport at 10:45 & were sitting at the gate shortly after 11:00. It did appear to be a slow week on the island though...
