Where to go for honeymoon in January (leaving from Singapore or KL)

Hi All - I was having a hard time deciding where I should go diving in January and figured I'd ask everyone here for their opinions. We're looking to spend between 5-7 days diving in January, leaving from either Singapore or Kuala Lumpur. We're looking for somewhere with good diving (preferably loads of tiny weird creatures!) but also nice accommodations (private villa, plunge pool, etc... it's our honeymoon after all!). We've been to Bali, Sipadan, and Puerto Galera in the past few years and would like to try somewhere new.

I'd vote for Lembeh, Bangka or Raja Ampat at that time for a honeymoon at a new place. Gangga Island island Resort is well known among Europeans for diving honeymoons.

Have you checked ouv Layang Layang or Wakatobi ?

You can try Maldives, although it's not the best place for macro the diving can be spectacular...

Palau and cruise around the Rock Islands.
Bali is another option.
Lembeh is well known for the critters but in Jan?

Hi lishen,

I live, and dive, in Sabah. In January the best diving is to had near Sipadan. Whilst you've alread been to Sipadan you could consider Mataking Island Resort located by boat transfer from Semporna. A lovely location for a honeymoon - they have chalets and villa's too

From here you can dive a range of dive sites - a purposefully sunken wreck, wall diving, pretty reefs as well as muck diving. A good mix!
