My zipper is finally broken after 6 years of use. It's leaking - not too much, but it's unpleasant anyway... The suit is a trilaminate one, made in Germany - Subgear (Seemann) Extender BMS.

So far, I've checked almost all local shops and dry suits vendors - nobody wants to do that. :(

Please advise.

Brooks is located in North Vancouver one block west of the Edge dive Center

If you are further north along the island, try Sean at UB Diving in Courtney.

you can replace the zipper by yourself,it is easy

They are not in vancover but I have had really great service from them and If nothing else I am sure they can help you.

If you enter the words "Drysuit zipper" into the search (New board it is click on "advanced search" in upper right hand corner) it comes up with a bunch of hits. Following them out looking for ones with photos attached or in the DIY forum is pretty much a given that they have a "how to" attached.

Even if you current zipper is sewn in, it does not have to be sewn in again. First glued with a contact adhesive like DAP, then with Aquaseal around the edges it will seal and hold very well. Although I own an industrial sewing machine and probably would resew it, if my original drysuit zipper was sewn into place *shrugs*

Edit: BTW if someone could use a 34" drysuit zipper I will make them one heck of a deal on it. The zipper is 34" inside rubber nub to inside rubber nub. In other words the length of the teeth.
