so far i'm getting some reccomendation for St Thomas Diving club and been reading alot about admiralty... can anyone give me some first hand accounts with these or any other dive shop on st thomas near Havensight area.

i have also been reading about blue water divers and people saying to avoid underwater safari. any info would be helpful. heading down in August if anyone is looking for a dive buddy :) wife does not dive.

Thanks

please pm me if you have any info. and prefer not to post here. thanks

Got married April '06. Was referred to Admiralty for our last 2 OW check out dives. Duane D. Hausch was our Instructor, Marty was our boat captain. We did the $750 private charter (I think that's what it cost then; don't recall for certain) so he could focus just on us.

We were quite impressed. My wife is 'anxious' about diving, a tad neurotic/insecure perhaps, and they REALLY set her at ease (no small feat, that).

I recommend them and if I were headed back to St. Thomas (the one time we were there was for a stop on our honeymoon cruise), I'd look for them first.

Richard.

dr rich... congrats to you on you getting married. actually going there for a ceramony as well and thought to get a few dives in. Yes I've heard lots of good things about admiralty. so thanks for confirming that.

Just came back from 1 week is St Thomas......

We stayed at Bolongo Bay and dove with STDC......

Andre and his team were great, we enjoyed the dives.......

ST Thomas is not known as a dive mecca but we saw a bunch of good stuff, vis was OK not great........

wow... nice pics. I take it those were from St thomas? is there another island thats close to st thomas with better diving? i have to get back to havensight stT for a wedding.

how was bolongo bay? do they have activities for kids? traveling with two young'uns myself. thanks for the info.

We enjoyed Bolongo Bay......

It is a nice small resort, very laid back, which we like......

It was very easy to have STDC right there......

Food was good but not as much variety......

We always go the all-inclusive route and felt it was an OK deal.......

The pics are St Thomas I heard that St Croix has better diving.......

Check out Red Hook Dive Center. They are located in Red Hook on the east end of the island. They were voted Best Of The VI.
