Dan fixed his engine? Good to hear.
I don't know that. I was going by his posted schedule. I will be calling this weekend

At Christmas, his engine was all apart. We stayed at the hotel by his boat launch. Used Chris's skiff. We only used Dan's compressor and his boat to store our gear.

for anyone else reading this thread, I just discovered the Mamro is in that area right now and they are probably diving it as I type this http://www.mamro.com/index_files/Page478.htm

You probably just discovered to not believe everything you read on the internet. The link now shows that the Mamro is scheduled to be in Port Hardy or Central Coast these days.

Dan will do the Transpac but he needs a solid group or two (or three) willing to put up the necessary money for him to run a safe and profitable trip for him to commit.

Thanks Brian, I am working on another guy out of Campbell River who was interested a while ago. I really want to do it.

It is a 180ft long cargo ship sunk about 10 years ago after a collision with another ship up near Butedale BC. It is sitting almost vertically and the bow is at a depth of 120 and the stern is around 300ft. The wall below drops off to even deeper than you would dive.

Aren't you on the way to Hawaii right now?
