In June 2007 we took a trip with some diving friends on Paradise Charters Easy Goin' liveaboard out of Ft. Lauderdale to Bimini, Bahamas. What a great trip! Capt. Chuck, First Mate Peg, and Instructor/Diveguide Matt were terrific.

On our last full day we decided to try and find some wild dolphins. As luck would have it, we came across two different pods, spotted dolphins and bottlenose dolphins. Our group was lucky enough to have the opportunity to snorkel with each pod. The spotted dolphins really seemed to enjoy the interaction. The bottlenose didn't swim away, but they were pre-occupied with finding a meal so they didn't seem as interested in us. The experience was, in a word, magical.

We nicknamed him Gimpyfin. It didn't seem to slow him down one bit. Looked to me like he was born that way.
