We were returning on Tuesday at Lobos to the boat ramp when my buddy almost stepped on a large mature wolf eel almost right at the boat ramp. It was well out in the open. It is situated among the rocks just to the north of the ramp, on your left as you enter the water, a yard or two from where the corrugated concrete ends. Don't step on it!

This shy guy has been around for 2 years that I can remember.

If he's to the north, then he's moved; we have always seen him in the rock crevasse on the south edge of the ramp. Thanks!

All the best, James

Probably a monkeyfaced eel actually. It isn't uncommon to see them in the rocks on the left side of the ramp as you look out. Think it's been a succession of eels that we've seen there over the years.
