Some time ago I purchased a XS Scuba submersible pressure gauge with depth gauge and compass. Although I was never expecting miracles from the compass, which is difficult to use with a standard rubber hose, I had expected an accurate depth gauge. The SPG portion of the console works perfectly.
Always falling back on my bottom timer, I was never bothered terribly by the 15-20% inaccuracy until I forgot my bottom timer in my dive bag on a two-tank dive trip in Mexico.
Considering the depth gauge might have been calibrated to sea level, I had hoped the depth gauge would be accurate since I usually dive at around 1000ft above sea level. Wrong again! It was still inaccurate by around 15-18%.
Any other problems like this one with that wretched depth gauge?
