Yep, my LDS is closing their doors, so I'm pretty much stuck. Where can I get my tanks refilled? There's a place that fills paintball tanks...should I go see them? The next dive shop is 45 minutes away, which is a tough drive for a $5 refill. Any suggestions?

I'd give the paintball place a shot, but I'd ask them if they have any air quality tests. The next best option would be to enquire at your local fire department. I've heard some that will fill scuba tanks, and others that can't due to legal issues of selling air fills or something like that.

Or buy a compressor and charge everyone else $5 a fill :D

Where do you live? You list three completely different areas.

Fire station maybe? I'm pretty sure the filtration for paintball and scuba is slightly different. And are they even filling air?

If you can get tank filled at the paintball place, the best way is to get your own portable filtration system. To have an extra filtration is much cheaper and easier than to build your own fill station.

That does suck and it's happening way too much. Is there a market in your area for a good dive shop, even a small mom and pop operation?

I think I saw a USB HP Airfill cable online someplace . . .

Isn't Leisurepro offering a discount of fills this week?

Given the irony and lack of details, Ide almost assume this is a troll post. But its real,

Why don't you look into a portable airfill station, they are near $3000 and much cheaper than a whole fill station. Thats a good compromise.

Let me ask though, did LP also service your gear and was the dive shop that closed the type that encouraged repeat business by being nice to its customers?

We have a nice shop here in Essex CT and the guy is swamped with buisiness from simple word of mouth and drysuit repairs from thier great business ethics.
