I have an Aqualung Kronos that vents to the right side.
On a retrospectively funny note- I used it for the first time on my checkout dives. I was having some trouble with ear clearing. When I finally did get down to the platform my first few seated breaths had my exhast going into my right ear. I thought my ear was exploding or something! I got used to it pretty quick though.

Any ScubaBoard member know of a second stage reg that does not have bubbles blast in front of the mask when you breath out.

I have a purge valve on my mask and when I breath out my nose, the bubbles flow to the side of my mask. Oh yeah!! But come on... I do not want to alwasy be breathing out of my nose. :11:

Any thoughts? And I do not want a rebreather YET so thats not an option.

Thanks on any input into this matter.:coffee:

Stay horizontal. You shouldn't see any then.

Terry

why lose purge? I love it

Solution to a problem that doesn't exist.

Plus they easily clog up with sand or dirt and end up just leaking all the time.

Yeah I am talking about bubbles when I am vert in water. Tilting my head forward is a good idea. thanks

Why are you vertical in the water? This maybe the real problem.

What String said...
Sand and snot = no way to clear. Loose the purge = no way to clear. Both = failure points = end of dive.

My Sherwood Blizzard (with the "walrus" exhaust tee) has never bothered me. Ditton for my wife.

Going double hose puts and end to feeling them run up my cheek. This link is under construction, but what the heck.

As posted above, Atomic regs offer the extended exhaust T to help reduce bubble interference.

Additionally, ScubaPro's S600 (and several other models) used to have an add-on bubble deflector that seriously deflects the bubbles, but the add-on bubble deflectors were never sold in the US, and have been discontinued (I believe) overseas for quite a while as well. I really love mine... I wish it was available for all regs. Atomics M1 is sufficiently close that I still enjoy diving it, but it's really spoiled a lot of other regs for me.
