Great pics Howard! Thanks for posting them! I think there's some sort of distortion in your lens though that's making my gut look big.

I think it's exaggerated curvature due to the fisheye lens.

I'm sure you did, the prepared diver always has a couple of them. Right Howard??

At least one.

VOTE VOTE VOTE for Fla. DM of the year !! The guy in second place is catching up with Kevin..and we don't want him to win:shakehead:

We had a fantastic day on Sunday's (11/1) 4-tanker !! The bull and hammerhead shark sightings were WOWSA !!! Thanks for a great day on the water Kevin & Alex and for the wonderful dinner afterwards !!

DITTO on that!!! What an awesome day, from start to finish!!! There's a reason why Kev is on the road to winning Divemaster of the Year!

I just noticed in my Fall 2009 "Alert Diver" that Underwater Exployers is included under the Dive Operators section in an article on Palm Beach County!

Congrats Kevin!!!

Looks like it is going to be crappy until Weds, but hopefully this storm will bring the bugs and big fish back...

e-mail from the organizer of my kayak meet-up group, who has plans for a paddle from there tomorrow morning:
Called the "emergency park ranger contact" number and was told that there was a problem yesterday, but none today - thanks again for the warning, though. It's always good to be careful, especially when I'm leaving the house at 6:00AM to go get wet....

I'm looking at the picture two posts up with the 5 horse conch with intact opercula. How do you cook those? No one I know down here ever considered eating them. I'd hate to think someone is just harvesting live shells...
Also I just realized Brian is an absolute dead-ringer for John Cronin who founded PADI. If the Lifetime channel ever does film John Who Taught the World about the Value of Putting Another Dollar In, we're gonna have a celebrity posting here - not even the legendary actor Matthew McConaughey could do this role as well as Brian.
