I'm not trying to get flamed just curious and google isn't helping me out.

Is there any business that lets you sky/scuba dive and/or is it physiologically possible?

The scenario I am imagining is you get your hybrid sky diving/scuba (maybe a over sized chute in your BC somewhere) gear on and jump out of a plane then land at your dive site and detach the chute then go scuba diving no breaks.

It's a shower thought but I think it would be cool.

Yes there is! The business is called the Department of Defense. They have several smaller groups that do this, Navy SEALs, SF dive teams, Marine Force Recon, etc. The great news is that they will provide all the equipment, training, transportation and other cost. In fact, they will actually pay you!

Yes and the only problem is that the Taliban is waiting for you when you detach your chute and start your dive...

I don't think the Op was looking to dodge bullets on the way down.

I admire those men and women in and retired from our armed forces and would have gone in had I not been disqualified.

I guess that's a no.

I just say shower thought because it always seems like the random thoughts always come to me in the shower.

PADI has the Heli Diver specialty, PADI Heli Diver Scuba Course.

This course is the civilian qualifying course for helo-casting or
deplaning (hover exit) from a helicopter for both rescue swimmers
and Search & Rescue Divers for the SCUBA industry. It is also
designed to give divers an insight into what para-rescue divers
and Navy Seal Teams do as part of regular helicopter based
operations. At the same time, it gives divers an adrenalin pumping
experience they will never forget !

I totally want to do this! I wonder how much $$$

I’ve been out for awhile but I don’t think we are sending in dive teams to Afghanistan. Of course, I am sure there are plenty of Dive qualified guys sitting in the desert right now. It can never be said too much-thanks for being there.

I'm a sky diver (and pilot) also but never thought of mixing it with scuba. I have thought that it would be cool to offer helicopter rides (with floats) to divers to some remote site and let them dive off the chopper. I heard somebody does that somewhere.
