Is Robert still at FI or is this Rich Henry guy now running the dive operation there?

Robert is currently not employed at Fantasy Island. The first two weeks after the owner of the property took back operations Daren Ebanks gave the dive breifings and set up the boat assignments. Do not know who will permanently assume that position, but I do not think that Rich Henry will be moving from the US to the Island.

There are a few less now :D
You terminate any personally? What did you use?

Wow...I hate to hear that...he was my DM the 1st time I went to FI. The last few times I've been there I got him to go out on a dive with me for old times. He had a favorite big green moray that would come out and play with us. It was fun watching the newbies freak out when it came out to play. It's amazing how loud some people can scream through a reg. :rofl3:

His presence on the dock will surely be missed......

Totally agree, he would always make time to dive with us also----and yes when he "grunted" into his regulator only the "certified deaf" wouldn't look around.

Robert & Willy were my first crew there in 2001, when I got stranded there for 9-11. Going to miss 'em. I mention them indirectly when tipping comes up on a thread, how badly I felt at undertipping them, how glad I was to see them and resolve that when I went back years later. This last trip, I couldn't understand half what Robert said at the briefing, but it worked out.
The dive shop's Hawaiian Sling
I got to look into that.
Not personally...one of my dive buddies speared 'em :shocked2:
Your morning coffee provider...? :eyebrow:

Well.. I liked Robert and will miss him but I can see where he is not the person that makes one feel like old home friends. I think the resort is looking for a more catered atmosphere.

I heard one repeat guest say they didn't trust him and they had the impression that Robert only looked out for Robert.

He, as the dive manager, should have dealt with some of the more egregious problems that I saw, problems that did not require money to solve.

Hi Cajundiva - how did you find Fantasy Island? I was there that week and was very disappointed in the resort and terrible service. The food was better after the change over but that was it. I couldn't recommend this resort to anyone.
