Scubaboard Invades Cozumel

Planning to head back to Cozumel in July but wasn't sure what dates, now at least I have a week to aim for. Hopefully will be back on island to meet more some people.

Just curious, Is this the first time ScubaBoard has had one of their annual trips in Cozumel? Should be a great trip.

Yes. This is the 1st time ScubaBoard is invading Cozumel.
I have personally attended an invasion in Bonaire several years back and all but one of the Keys. They have all been a blast. These events are not to be missed!

Why June ??? Hot and the start of hurricane season?

Other reasons have been given, but a lot of it has to do with kids. We have a lot of families with kids in school. They are out this time of year!

Grrr stupid airlines...!

What is with Continental?! They want $535 and that's if I overnight in Houston both ways! $605 if I insist on same day flights. :silly: Didn't the merger go thru? United is showing as a separate airline with an obscene fare - over $800!

Delta is flying back into Lubbock after quitting us years ago, and I would love to enjoy my lifetime perks with them - but their fare is obscene too - also over $800, with overnights each way! Shouldn't they have better plans by now? Their merger went thru long ago.

American will do it for $427, but I don't like American; well, I don't like any of them at the moment, but they are flying ATR72s into Lubbock some and could change my outbound flight to one. I want my bags to be on my plane! I know that they own more than any other line but I thot they moved all them out of the country.

I looked at leaving out of Amarillo and/or - ugg, flying into Cancun: both higher!

I set up a daily email fare alert. Maybe Continental will come around, even tho they only show two flights a day on Sunday in Lubbock. They fly five on Saturdays, but that doesn't help the fare.

Uh, no - they don't fly to Lubbock or Amarillo. Just the three mentioned above which I am frustrated with and Southwest who just goes where they want to go. I was hoping for better from Delta and Cont after the mergers, but they're both so much worse in this case.

I'll probly end up taking my chances with American and going shopping with trip insurance money if my bags dally, but will wait to see if competition breaks out...?!

We were talking to people at DEMA who were paying $400 more than this and they thought they had to pay for their own booze. Cardzard is an incredible negotiator, and we are the beneficiaries.
