Does anyone know the algorithm it is using? Hope they have fixed the battery issue which is bugging all XEN users (myself included). Looks like a perfect computer (minus the AI) for my wife who only dives recreationally.

From LV:
Lynx will have the same algorithm as Xeo, i.e. Buhlmann ZH-L16C algorithm with optional Gradient Factors

Also, the Lynx will offer s 2 modes: Rec and Tec:
- REC MODE allows 1 gas to be used, such as Air, Nx 32 or Nx36. This mode can quickly calculate your NDL and provide current saturation information between dives. It offers 3 levels of conservatism and the option to simulate the dive on the computer before getting in the water. There is a large and detailed logbook, which includes dive graphs of each dive.
- TEC MODE allows 3 gases to be used, including a bottom mix and up to two deco mixes. In addition to the REC MODE features, it provides more advanced dive planning functions. However, it is still far simpler to use than the XEO trimix computer.

Anyone see the Liquivision Lynx at Dema? Looks like a very good advanced nitrox computer.

Best, Craig

Hopefully, they will offer a choice in colors, such as black...

Hi Scott,

I guess you inflexible all black guys will not be able to consider it. Those of us with fluorecent lime green fins will have no problem.

Hope to have the opportunity to dive with you in Jupiter on my next visit.

Good diving, Craig

or a pink one...:D

Hope they have fixed the battery issue which is bugging all XEN users (myself included).

I too would like to know if they resolved the battery problem or just keeping with the "fix suggestions" from LV. To me 18-30 hrs of run time is not enough, not even close. This is a quote from the XEN Thread...

Another 18 hours of dive time, and the battery indicator went yellow. This is with the latest updates, lowest brightness, dark green for everything except max and avg depth (which are dark blue), normal layout, with the stopwatch deactivated, log period 10s.

Its great in the water, but the low battery life is pretty bothersome. I guess I just have to get used to spending 40-50 dollars per year on batteries that are only available from Liquivision.
Does the Lynx still run on the 1 ER14335M battery like the Xen/Xeo? It would be a lot better if it operated on some other commonly used lithium battery.

The Lynx runs on an ER17335M which provides double the battery life compared to an ER14335M. This increases the 'average' yield from 28 hours to 56 hours per battery (or 150 hours on a straight low brightness sim, vs. 75 hours). Also, we will be offering an upgrade to existing Xen/Xeo units that allows them to use the bigger ER17335M battery as well. Just make sure that you are using Xeo 1.11+ and Xen 1.13+ software, since the earlier versions of the software had an issue which could drain the battery faster than normal.

The Lynx (or Xen/Xeo with the optional upgrade) can run with an ER17335M (for an average of 56 hours of dive time per battery), or, you can then use a rechargeable lithium iron phosphate battery. The rechargeable doesn't get nearly as much dive time, 12-15 hours per charge, but of course you can recharge it 2000 times.

Hello Eric,
will Bottom Timer Mode (all Xen functionality) be available on Lynx and when will it be available on XEO?

Thank you
