My buddy and I were diving yesterday, and he somehow managed to lose the dump valve off of his new Zeagle 911 BCD. Does anyone have an idea of where to get a replacement? The closest dive shop I can find that services Zeagle is 6 hours away, and we're having a hard time finding a replacement.

Thanks!

Ted

Great suggestion. I emailed DSS and got a quick reply (not from Tobin, however) that said I would need to ask Zeagle to find out if the DSS OPV would work. I kind of doubt that I'm going to get a straight answer from Zeagle.

We just don't sell much to fit Zeagle BC's. Most of the non DSS users of our OPV's are installing on wings, not BC's. There is a very good chance that the DSS OPV will fit, but given the recent changes at Zeagle, and the fact that I haven't personally had occasion to work on a Zeagle I just cannot be 100% sure. About 80% of BC's and wings use one of two thread designs, and the remaining 20% use a bewildering range of proprietary fittings. Those are the odds, which unfortunately tell us little about a specific BC.

Thanks for the comment Tobin. I have a couple of BCs around, I will try some mix and match to see what interchangeability I have.

Another call to make might be Zeagle Express - Scuba Diving Equipment Shop Online | Zeagle Express. They may have the part, or can get it for you. Alternatively, since you are in Washington state, contact Malibu Scuba (Malibu Dive Repair), the west coast Zeagle Service center (Service).

With the Huish take-over, and the move of Zeagle out of Zephyr Hills, getting parts is not quite as straightforward as it once was. But, you should be able to find one with a couple of phone calls.

Zeagle Express ^ first or check with Scubatoys. Call them since they won't list it on the website.
