Nice to hear that we in the U.S. don't have a monopoly when it comes to SP corporate idiocy. Sorry about your troubles getting parts.

Yeah, kinda pissed me off, but what can you do. I found a source in Europe who can get some of the parts but apparently SP says you can no longer get the diaphragms. Is this true? While I think I can still use the ones I have, they are a little dry and stiff.

I would be extremely surprised if there are no diaphragms available for the G250, I believe it's the same as for the R190, and for the old balanced/adjustable. Together those three are probably the most successful (in terms of longevity and sales) SP 2nd stages in history. It would be unlike SP to pull support for them. But, if it is true, then I bet Bryan would be interested in making diaphragms for them.

+1
The diaphragm is still available and should be considered a user replaceable part. The thing is, SP changes the part number all the time according to the colors and such. Just ask for a diaphragm for the G250V p/n 11261012 or 11261008 (assembly, inc. the disc in the middle), or go to another store.

Thank you sir for the information, I will try with the part numbers you listed.

If you start feeling like Mike Jagger because you ain't getting no satisfaction, send me a PM. I'm pretty sure I have a few new and a few used diaphragms I can make a deal on.

One more question, sorry, most of the small tabs on the diaphragm retaining ring are broken, i.e snapped off, I'm going to assume this will make no functional difference?

Who's Mike Jagger? Mick's brother? :D

Yeah, yeah....that's the ticket. He gets Mick's leftovers.

Correct, that is an anti-friction ring. The tabs help to keep it in position. The older G250ies had no tabs on that ring. In fact, I thought only the HP had the ring with tabs.

(Quick, someone do a spell check before Halo gets here.)
